about the festival

Variety Pack is a bi-annual alt comedy festival in Philadelphia, PA.

We first popped onto the scene in May 2025 when producer Chaz T. Martin realized there wasn’t a home for Philly comedians who wanted to try out shows that are more than just sketch, improv, or standup. They needed a little more high-tech than a bar show but a little more low-tech than a full-blown play. Chaz worked at The Drake at the time, and pitched the idea of a two-weekend festival in the black box theater to see if there was an interest in this kind of thing.

Reader: there was.

Variety Pack is now home to genre-bending, -blending, and -breaking comedy acts both brand new and tried-and-true.
